Karen Chang Parachute Story Time

Kaleidoscope Preschool Philosophy

Children are a valuable and precious part of our community. They have the right to experience a safe, healthy, accepting environment that offers learning through play and disovery.

Children should be challenged with new experiences and given the opportunity to succeed in all areas of development. Kaleidoscope preschool is such an environment, with an emphasis on diversity in our community and around the world. To further enhance all children's preschool experience, Kaleidoscope is wheelchair accessible both indoors and out.

Meet Kaleidoscope's Early Childhood Educator

Karen Chang has owned and operated Kaleidoscope Preschool for the past 10 years. She has worked in the Childcare field for 19 years and brings with her a love of children and a value for diversity. It is important to Karen for children of all cultures and abilities to have a supportive and successful early learning experience.

Karen has her certificate in Early Childhood Education as well as a diploma in Therapeutic Recreation. She also holds a current First Aid Certificate and has 5 years experience teaching First Aid.

Owning her own preschool has allowed Karen to create a unique learning experience which includes: celebrating cultures around the world, drumming, science and field trips. It is important to Karen that Kaleidoscope Preschool creates an early learning experience that encompasses the development of the whole child: socially, intellectually, emotionally and physically.

Through continuing professional development Karen offers new ideas and educational opportunities for the children in her care. She looks forward to offering the children and families of Kaleidoscope Preschool a fun and educational experience that encourages independence, sharing and caring.
